What Do We Offer?
Blossom Tree Education is a tuition service for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
- We cater for those who find ‘traditional’ models of learning difficult. Whether it’s the approach of the teacher, the delivery of the content, the environment or the student lacking confidence, often it can be a combination of all of these. Nurturing is at the heart of everything we do and our approach has been proven to work!
- We believe in building positive relationships, communicating clearly and honestly, whilst stripping back content and misconceptions in order to build a firm base to work from.
- The learner is at the centre of everything we do and takes an active role in decision making, planning the next session and assessing their progress. Ultimately the learning is personalised and the student has ownership throughout.
- Helping each student feel at ease, having meaningful conversations and ‘getting to know them’ and how they best learn, all feed into our approach.
- We value the student/tutor partnership, we work and engage positively and actively to adapt in real time and provide support and challenge throughout each session.
- Encouraging questions, breaking down barriers to learning and being an ‘invisible safety net’ for those anxious and weary from traditional learning experiences is where we excel.
Our Services!
We offer a range of services which helps to target specific areas and offer a different style of support for your child/young person.
One-To-One Tutoring
This style of tutoring service offers a sole focus on the student. By helping the child/young person develop their confidence in a nurturing & supportive environment.
Small Group Tutoring
No more than four students per session. This style of tuition allows students to learn alongside peers of a similar age and ability. It helps foster self confidence in a group setting.
Short-Term Exam Prep
Whilst longer term preparation is recommended, short-term exam prep can be useful to calm nerves, ask questions, and look at exam papers and technique
SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities)
All students can learn, what’s important is how the individual learns best. Student learning preferences, contextualised learning and providing the right kind of support is fundamental.
Meet Blossom
Blossom the Jellycat plays an important role with younger students who may feel anxious or need a ‘friend’. Blossom is a plush toy who often becomes a ‘part’ of sessions. Sometimes students bring their own soft toys to meet Blossom. She’s a lovely focus for students helping them feel at ease and can provide a ‘cuddle distraction’ if a ‘brain break’ is needed.
